Offline LOW-E glass is divided into two types: ordinary tempered first and then coated LOW-E and temperable LOW-E after coating. ① Production Process

In the vacuum sputtering environment, the temperature of the glass substrate is lower than 60 , so only the U value, SC value, color, etc. of the physical and chemical indicators under normal temperature environment can be considered when selecting the coating material. The film process is a relatively simple physical process; The coated glass should be synthesized with hollow glass as soon as possible to avoid oxidative deterioration; if there is no film protection on the coated glass surface, it needs to be processed into hollow within 7 hours, and with film protection, it is required to be processed into hollow within 4 days.

② Market operation

Due to the above characteristics, ordinary tempered first and then coated LOW-E. The application range is narrow, the cost is low, and the adaptability and life of the film layer are shorter, 10 ~ 20 years.

2、Characteristics of temperable LOW-E after coating:

 Production Process

The important point is that after the LOW-E glass is tempered at 680 , the physical and chemical index of the coating layer and the ratio before tempering can still be maintained within the design range. This is the key point of the success of temperable LOW-E and it is the most advantageous. The development of offline Temperable LOW-E is already a mature stage for the world.

  Market operation

The tempered LOW-E film series and packaging are better than ordinary LOW-E glass, and the tempered LOW-E product can be guaranteed to be 15 to 30 years after being hollow.

3、Features of temperable LOW-E film system:

① All the coated film layers must be cooled at room temperature instantaneously after being subjected to a high temperature of about 680 , repeated physical changes in temperature difference, and their physical and chemical properties are still very stable.

② After the high temperature impact of the glass and the film layer, the film layer will not peel or crack.

③ The barrier base layer prevents sodium ions on the surface of the glass from diffusing to the film layer at high temperature, so the performance is more stable.

    Through the world's most advanced LD full convection tempering furnace, the stability is better after tempering.

In summary, whether in performance or stability, offline temperable Low-E is far superior to ordinary tempered first and then coated LOW-E.
